City of Truro |
||||
The Cathedral City of Truro has been a prosperous little town for over 800 years. Its charter was granted in the 12th century.
It has a wide selection of restaurants - and inns - catering for many different tastes. In the centre of town, our Cathedral towers above the city and it dominates the view from each of the surrounding hills. Completed in 1910, it is well worth a visit - and the food served in the Chapter House is both appetising AND good value! The city is at the head of a tidal estuary, and there is lovely countryside very close to the town with beautiful walks passing through woods, around creeks and alongside the River Fal and Truro River.
